On arrival, we test methodically. We don't pull out wiring unnecessarily or recommend replacements unless they're actually needed. When we find the fault, we explain what caused it, how we're fixing it, and what it's going to cost before we start.
If we find something else that needs attention, we'll tell you — but we won't pressure you to do it all in one visit. Your decision, your timeline.

Common questions about electrical repairs
My power has gone out but the neighbours still have power — what do I do?
Check your switchboard first. If a breaker has tripped, try resetting it once. If it trips again immediately, or if you can't find the problem, call us. Don't keep resetting a breaker that keeps tripping — it trips for a reason.
I can smell burning near a switch or outlet — is it dangerous?
Yes. Stop using that circuit immediately. Switch off at the board if possible, and call us. Burning smells near electrical fittings usually mean arcing or overheating — it needs to be looked at today.
How quickly can you respond to an electrical fault?
For urgent safety issues, call us on 09 392 0055 and we'll advise you and get there as soon as possible. For non-urgent repairs, we can usually book you within the week.
My RCD keeps tripping — can you fix it?
Yes. An RCD that trips repeatedly is usually being triggered by a fault on the circuit it's protecting. We'll find the fault and fix it — not just reset the RCD and leave.
